Atmosphere
The view is the room. River on one side, the city grid on the other, the High Line threading between them below. It earns its position by being a genuinely good place to be, not by being the tallest thing nearby.
The Hidden Side
The terrace arrived in Hudson Yards before the neighborhood had a clear identity and claimed its position literally above where the High Line ends. The view from here is the view the developers were selling when they built this part of the city. Equinox got there first and built an actual reason to stay.

Equinox opened its first hotel inside Hudson Yards in 2019 on a specific hypothesis: that a hotel can be built as a performance system the same way a training program is. The concept has no direct equivalent in New York.
